Merging ideas from both reality and fantasy, Chagall was involved with and influenced some of the most dynamic movements of the 20th Century including Surrealism, Cubism and Fauvism. Marc Chagall is a modern master, refusing to be defined by a single concept and instead celebrated for his great legacy following his death aged 97 in 1985.
The collection will include work from Chagall as well as Picasso, Matisse, Miro and Dali to name but a few.
The selection will include Original Lithographs, Etchings and Drawings, many of which are signed by the artists themselves. With prices from £700 to £20,000, take advantage of this opportunity to add a Master piece to your art collection!

Major Exhibition of Salvador Dali work to be unveiled at St Albans’ Gallery
Following on from hugely successful show entitled ‘Picasso and the School of Paris’ held in May 2011, Gallery Rouge is pleased to announce their forthcoming prestigious exhibition featuring the work of legendary artist Salvador Dali. The event, ‘Dali – The Spanish Master’ will be held at 27 Chequer Street, St Albans, Herts, AL1 3YJ and will run from March 24th till March 30th.
Salvador Dali is undoubtedly on of the most influential Spanish artists of a generation. Whilst Dali has been described as a maverick and a genius in the same breath, his impact on the history of the modern art movement is unquestionable. Both Dalí’s extraordinary talent and eccentric personality helped him rise above the rest of the twentieth century surrealists.
Salvador Dalí has been cited as a major inspiration by many contemporary artists, such as Damien Hirst, Noel Fielding and Jeff Koons. Dali’s manic expression and famous moustache have made him a modern day cultural icon.
The hanging collection of work will include Original Prints, Etchings and Line Drawings personally signed by Salvador Dali. Gallery Rouge has also been given the honour of launching a significant collection of stunning Limited Edition sculptures, working in partnership with highly respected Fine Art representatives Washington Green.
This is a rare opportunity to view the work of Salvador Dali close up, where all pieces are available for acquisition.

Picasso and the School of Paris – The Event
Monday, May 16th, 2011

Gallery Rouge was proud to host the groundbreaking event ‘Picasso and the School of Paris’, launched on May 7th 2011.
This event showcased the work of acclaimed French artists including Picasso, Chagall, Dali and Matisse to name but a few. Many visitors took the opportunity to view a body of outstanding original lithographs, etchings and drawings from these iconic figures.
The work of Pablo Picasso is prized by both museum and collector; recognised for his artistic genius and enduring influence, Picasso continues to be named alongside the most important artists of all time. A majestic collection of works exhibited paid homage to his diverse interpretations. Of particular note was the signed drawing, ‘Tete de Faune’ dating from 1955 which holds authentication from Maya Picasso, the artists eldest daughter – this rare item was sold soon after the opening.
Significant contemporaries within the School of Paris were also represented. Among those on display and available for acquisition was a charming signed lithograph by Henri Matisse from the ‘Dix Danseurs’ series depicting a young ballet protégé in repose after practice. Captivating many was striking original colour lithograph by Salvador Dali. Created for the ‘Themes of Surrealism’ suite, ‘Vittoria dell uomo Primitivo’ illustrates a rider taking command of his eager stallion. Also amongst the 30 works presented were three distinguished pieces by Impressionist artists, Renoir and Cezanne and a fine original drawing by George Braque.
Such was the success of the show, Gallery Rouge is already planning its next showcase of masterpieces..watch this space!
