Gallery Rouge are delighted to announce the forthcoming exhibition and attendance of leading figurative painter Mark Spain.

For the past decade Mark has enthralled with his wonderfully expressive style which embodies mood, movement and romance. His ability to capture the interplay of light and dark make for provactive and engaging pieces seldom seen before.

This exhibition of Marks work will include a large number of fantastic new original paintings, in addition to a strong selection of Signed Limited Edition pieces. The exhibition will run from July 23rd till 31st.

Gallery Rouge is pleased to unveil new original painting, ‘Indulgence’ by renowned Iranian artist Hessam Abrishami. Undoubtedly, the iconic elements of Hessam’s creations are his representation of the figure and the emotions surrounding it. The artist employs bold colours which he admits can be a daunting task.  Hessam confesses,

“I deal with my colours savagely. I put them on the canvas and fill rapidly.  When I paint I want to be blind to the physical object and see the world without any preconceived notions of the way things ought to look.  I have to move fast in order to avoid wrestling with consciousness”.

Merging introspection and visual spectacle, Hessam’s personal investigations of spirituality and the abstract process possess the power to transform today’s ideas of contemporary figure painting.  As Hessam Abrishami’s only authorised representative in Europe, we are proud to offer the rare opportunity of acquiring an original painting from this internationally collected and recognised artist.
