Eric Waugh at Gallery Rouge VEric and Kuldip III

Gallery Rouge were delighted to welcome Eric Waugh to the gallery for a stunning exhibition and sale of his fantastic collection of new abstract work.

Eric flew into London on the Thursday morning to prepare for the event. The flight had been a difficult one, yet ever the professional he was on fine form. A very charasmatic and charming man, Eric has clearly grasped the secret to eternal youth!

With a career spanning over two decades, Eric has firmly established himself as an artist going places. When speaking about his World Record painting he is surprisingly modest. The painting, called ‘Hero’ measured the size of an American Football field and took five years to complete (in his spare time!). He is low key in his achievements both on the canvas and in his charitable endeavours  – typifing this unassuming yet highly talented individual.

KDarlington_Faerie Forest

Gallery Rouge is pleased to add the original painting ‘Faerie Forest’ by Welsh artist Kerry Darlington to our portfolio of unique artworks. The painting is a joyous and wonderful composition in which a blushing rose mist envelopes the maple tree around which winged fairies have gathered .

Such is the time, skill and effort required to create such a piece, just two original works of this approach were produced and no more will follow.  The close up photographs below perfectly illustrate the intricate detail in each layer.  This is a fantastic opportunity for a Kerry Darlington collector to acquire an outstanding artwork at a seminal moment in the artists career.

Please contact us with any enquiries at info@galleryrouge.co.uk or on 01727 860401 and click here for more artworks available by Kerry Darlington through Gallery Rouge.

SParslow_Starlight IIISParslow_Horizon IV

Stella Parslow started painting with Enamel on Ivorine (imitation Ivory) and Eggshells. Her first exhibitions were The Royal Academy Summer Exhibition (Miniatures Section) and the Medici Gallery, London.  From these beginnings she has experimented extensively with techniques of watercolour and gouache, creating a unique collection of detailed fine work which has been widely exhibited.

Her love of landscapes, water and sky influenced her ideas and she has created a very idiosyncratic and recognisable style. She has been developing new techniques over the last few years and this has inspired a collection of landscapes and contemporary abstracts using oils, acrylics and metal foils that demonstrate a new freedom of expression.  The public appreciation of these new developments suggests her work to be in the vanguard of new trends in interior design.

Gallery Rouge is pleased to represent a strong selection of original artworks by Stella Parslow, which may be viewed by clicking here
