Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen
During recent filming for the home decorating series ‘House Gift’, Laurence was looking to identify something rather special for his clients. Many of you may be familiar with the format of the programme; three celebrity interior designers are presented with the choice of three envelopes containing either £100, £300 or £1000. Armed with these funds, their goal is to buy a ‘house gift’ which they hope will be chosen by the participating couple, hence making them the winner.
With only a day to work with speed is of the essence. Laurence specifically wanted to visit an art gallery with a wide choice of quality artwork, and identified Gallery Rouge as the place to go.
Known for his flamboyant style and dress sense, Laurence cuts quite a dashing figure. Laurence is himself an acclaimed artist, whose work has been published and is much sought after. A graduate of Camberwell School of Arts and Crafts, Laurence was always destined to carve out a niche in the fashion and design industry.
Laurence was incredibly complimentary of Gallery Rouge, commenting positively on the diverse mix of original work held by the gallery. Whilst the walls of his Cotswold home are full to the rafters, he recognised the efforts of gallery owner Kuldip Chohan in showcasing stunning works from around the world.
To see what happened, you’ll have to tune in to the new series of ‘House Gift’ which starts on November 8th at 2pm!
